A Lancashire Wildlife Trust site. A mosaic of woodland and small meadows with limestone plants like fairy flax, mouse-ear hawkweed and lady’s bedstraw grow alongside fragrant wild herbs like thyme and marjoram. The river Ribble runs next to the reserve and there was opportunities to explore sand and coarser sediment at the banks.
