Most natural history groups in the region offer a Winter series of illustrated talks together with Summer field meetings. They are a great way to get involved with the local naturalist community and learn about the wildlife and sites in your area. There are often several active biological recorders including Entomologists or excellent general field naturalists, from whom much invertebrate knowledge can be picked up, especially at the start of your entomological journey.
