Prenton Dell Claypit consists of species-rich meadows, ponds, ditches, a small area of ancient woodland and marsh. The site is owned by National Grid who lease it to a local community group who manage the area. The site has recently undergone significant habitat management and restoration and very little invertebrate recording has been done here.

Delphax pulchellus (Delphacidae), K.Fowler
- Three males and one female in the vegetation surrounding the pool in the main meadow
- Last recorded in Cheshire in 1910 at Hatchmere by J Edwards.
