This workshop will cover:

• General life histories and ecology of woodlice
• Identification of the common and distinctive species.

This workshop is on location at Leighton Moss, North Lancashire. It will include richly illustrated indoor presentations, observing specimens under microscopes and opportunities to try field collection and identification skills. The content will be based on the British Myriapod & Isopod Group (BMIG) digital guide, and ideal for a beginner.

Tutor information: Paul Richards wrote the BMIG guide to millipedes, centipedes and woodlice, and has nearly 40 years experience as a professional zoologist, curator and ecologist specialising in ground invertebrates.
