A general invertebrate recording day at a site made up of several species-rich grassland, woodland & mire communities. This is a nature reserve managed by Cheshire Wildlife Trust.

The emphasis is on recording invertebrates and therefore the day is not suitable for the absolute beginner bug enthusiast.

The terrain is steep as the site is mainly on a hillside and it can be very wet and muddy following heavy rainfall. Stout walking boots are essential for this site, even during dry spells in high summer. Up to 10 minutes walking will be required to reach the site. Participants should also be fit enough to be on their feet for the majority of the day.

Further details regarding parking etc. will be circulated a week before the day. The site is not accessible from public transport. The nearest WC facilities and shelter are no more than 1/2 mile away.
