We hold free and heavily subsidised invertebrate workshops and webinars on identification, recording, curation and field craft to help boost the skills of beginners and experienced entomologists alike. These are complemented with drop-in sessions to facilitate mentoring and networking. We also run an invertebrate recording day programme to bring together the invertebrate recording community and facilitate improvements to baseline data coverage at selected important / under-recorded sites.

Money Spiders: In-person 1 day workshop

30th October | 10:30 am - 4:00 pm

Richard Gallon from the British Arachnological Society will lead this one-day workshop covering British Money Spiders (Linyphiidae).

This workshop will cover microscopic identification techniques. You’ll be guided through the techniques required to identify Money Spiders and then work on provided specimens.

The tutor will endeavour to accommodate all levels of experience with Money Spiders, but ideally attendees should have some prior experience working with invertebrates down the microscope.

– maintain social distancing

– wear a face covering when in a shared indoor space (unless exempt)

– clean/sanitise their hands regularly.

– take a Covid-19 lateral flow test before arrival.
