We hold free and heavily subsidised invertebrate workshops and webinars on identification, recording, curation and field craft to help boost the skills of beginners and experienced entomologists alike. These are complemented with drop-in sessions to facilitate mentoring and networking. We also run an invertebrate recording day programme to bring together the invertebrate recording community and facilitateΒ improvements to baseline data coverage at selectedΒ important / under-recorded sites.

Holiday Moss Invertebrate Recording Day

30th June | 10:00 am - 4:30 pm

Holiday Moss is managed by Lancashire Wildlife Trust. It is a small site with a mosaic of peatland, woodland, fen and open water habitats.

*Please note that the peat/mossland on this site is currently overgrown with vegetation and we will be focusing more on the water and woodland habitat. Also, as it is a small site we will only spend the afternoon there*

Please be aware that whilst we welcome invertebrate recorders of all experience levels, our recording days are not taught or guided sessions. (Check out our webinars/workshopsΒ here).

We will follow social distancing measures. Events will be subject to cancellation as a result of any changes that may occur to government guidelines regarding coronavirus or severe weather.

Booking essential:Β Further details will be circulated before the day.
