Hillbridge & Park Woods Invertebrate Recording Day

4th June 2021 | 10:00 am - 4:30 pm

Join us for a general invertebrate recording day with Sorby Natural History Society at Hillbridge & Park Woods which is located on the Eastern edge of VC58.

The site is managed by Derbyshire Wildlife Trust and the upland oak wood on the reserve is one of the largest in the area. The eastern boundary of the reserve is formed by the River Goyt . As well as birds, the reserve is an important site for lichens and bryophytes (mosses), with several rare species occurring on the older trees. See more info here.

Please be aware that whilst we welcome invertebrate recorders of all experience levels, our recording days are not taught or guided sessions. (Check out our webinars/workshops here).

We will follow social distancing measures. Events will be subject to cancellation as a result of any changes that may occur to government guidelines regarding coronavirus, or if there is severe weather forecast.

Booking essential: Further details regarding meeting place etc. will be circulated before the day.
