We hold free and heavily subsidised invertebrate workshops and webinars on identification, recording, curation and field craft to help boost the skills of beginners and experienced entomologists alike. These are complemented with drop-in sessions to facilitate mentoring and networking. We also run an invertebrate recording day programme to bring together the invertebrate recording community and facilitate improvements to baseline data coverage at selected important / under-recorded sites.

Far Greenbank Farm Invertebrate Recording Day
17th July | 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

This recording day will take place at the privately owned Far Greenbank Farm, a remote upland shooting estate at c.250m asl. The main habitat interest on the site is upland meadows of various ages but there will be an opportunity to go up to Thrushgill Fell (315m asl) later in the day. Regular moth trapping at the site in the past few years has produced an impressive 400+ species but no other invertebrate recording has taken place.
Please be aware that whilst we welcome invertebrate recorders of all experience levels, our recording days are not taught or guided sessions. (Check out our webinars/workshops here).
Events will be subject to cancellation if there is an adverse weather forecast.
Booking essential: Further details regarding meeting place etc. will be circulated before the day.
