Cross Hill Quarry Invertebrate Recording Day

16th May | 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

A Lancashire Wildlife Trust site. A mosaic of woodland and small meadows with limestone plants like fairy flax, mouse-ear hawkweed and lady’s bedstraw grow alongside fragrant wild herbs like thyme and marjoram. The river Ribble runs next to the reserve and there is an opportunity to explore sand and coarser sediment at the banks.

There are no facilities, and there are no shops etc. nearby.

Please be aware that whilst we welcome invertebrate recorders of all experience levels, our recording days are not taught or guided sessions. (Check out our webinars/workshops here).

Events will be subject to cancellation if there is a severe weather forecast.

Booking essential: Further details regarding meeting place etc. will be circulated before the day.
