A provisional Revised Auchenorrhyncha Checklist for Cheshire & Lancashire

This revision includes 267 species across the three vice-counties. There are records for 275 species but 8 of these are regarded as doubtful or incorrect and need further investigation. This represents about 65% of the Auchenorrhyncha currently accepted as British and Irish species.

Two listings of the checklist are provided. The first is in the systematic order used in Wilson et al

(2015). The second is in alphabetic order. Each taxon name is followed by three groups of columns for each of the three vice-counties. These provide:

  • the year it was last recorded;
  • the number of monads in which it has been recorded;
  • the number of

These are followed by a column referencing any notes for that species and, finally, the National status for the species.
