Red Rocks Invertebrate Recording Day

27th May 2021 | 10:00 am - 4:30 pm

A general invertebrate recording day at Red Rocks SSSI.

This SSSI reserve lies on the edge of the extensive Dee Estuary, looking out towards Hilbre Island, and just a short walk from Hoylake or West Kirby. It is managed by the Cheshire Wildlife Trust and is made up of sand dunes, reedbeds and marsh. More information about this site can be found on the Cheshire Wildlife Trust website here.

This recording day will be run in collaboration with the Cheshire Bee Group. The dunes are important nesting habitat for a variety of bee species, some of which we hope to record on the day.

Please be aware that whilst we welcome invertebrate recorders of all experience levels, our recording days are not taught or guided sessions (Check out our webinars/workshops here).

We will follow social distancing measures. Events will be subject to cancellation as a result of any changes that may occur to government guidelines regarding coronavirus, or if there is severe weather forecast

Booking essential: Further details regarding meeting place etc. will be circulated before the day.
