Sawflies Webinar

14th November 2020 | 1:00 pm - 2:15 pm

There are around 250 species of Sawfly in Britain, all of which have plant-feeding larvae. A few are garden pests but most feed as larvae on non cultivated plants. This webinar will include a talk on the biology of sawflies and the characters used to identify them.

Our Tutor: Andrew Halstead worked for the Royal Horticultural Society for 41 years as their Entomologist at Wisley Garden in Surrey. He has a long interest in sawflies and holds sawfly identification workshops for the British Entomological and Natural History Society.

We will end with an interactive question and answer session.

Please book your space via Eventbrite and you will be sent information on how to join the webinar.

This session will run on Zoom. If you are new to Zoom you will need to create a Zoom account and download their software. This is all free and you can do so here: https://zoom.us/ You can use a laptop/desktop computer, smartphone or tablet and it isn’t necessary to have a webcam or microphone to participate.

Further info on how to join a zoom meeting can be found here.
