Lancashire & Cheshire Entomological Society (LCES) Spring Meeting 2026

This is a free bi-annual meeting open to all – you do not need to be a society member.

Talks will include – ‘The Highs and Lows of Looking for Rare Spiders in Lancashire’, ‘Kickstarting Nature Conservation with Wetlands’, ‘Jamaican Pleistocene Millipedes’, ‘Macrophotography on a budget’, and ‘Introducing the Bolton Museum Insect Collections’.

We will also be holding our usual section for short contributions on any entomological topic e.g. recording highlights, survey work, research, or promoting events / projects (usually up to 5 minutes). Slots are limited. If you’d like to contribute, please contact gary.hedges@liverpoolmuseums.org.uk in advance of the meeting.

Please meet in World Museum foyer at 13:15

Tea, coffee, and biscuits will be provided.
