Join Edge Hill’s University’s Thom Dallimore at this diverse nature reserve to learn about identifying and recording Mosquitoes. We’ll be using microscopes in the visitor centre as well as seeing what can be found around the nature reserve.

This workshop will involve some short distance, light walking as we look at a few areas of the site. Refreshments will be provided but please bring a packed lunch and appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear.

Tutor Info: Thom is currently developing a guide to the British Mosquitoes (Culicidae) along with Dr Clare Strode (Edge Hill University) and the Field Studies Council (FSC), and conducts research into the ecology and taxonomy of British native and invasive Mosquitoes.
