SUMMARY:City Nature Challenge - Greater Manchester
DESCRIPTION:Greater Manchester (GM) has entered the 2019 global City Nature Challenge from Fri 26th -Mon 29th April\, with the GM entry run by Manchester Museum and Great Manchester Local Records Centre (GMLRC) / Greater Manchester Ecology Unit (GMEU). \nThe aim is to record as many species with as many recorders as possible anywhere in GM over the 4 days – reserves\, gardens\, parks\, local patches etc. GMLRC are aiming to have recording events across GM – ideally one in each district – for anyone interested in joining in locally. \nSo far the following recording events are likely – note all TBC – at: \n• Whitworth Park (Museum/GMLRC)\n• Smithills Estate (Woodland Trust)\n• Chorlton Water Park (RSPB/Mersey valley)\n• Wythenshawe (Sandilands wood)\, also Trafford?
