Smithills Invertebrate Recording Day

A general invertebrate recording day at Smithills Estate
A Woodland Trust site with 1,700 acres of open countryside, featuring mixed woodland with streams, rough grassland and heather moorland. The day will be focused in the Walker Fold area. Smithills has been the focus of a Heteroptera and Diptera study by Phil Brighton 2015-2019, and a few Bioblitzes have also taken place in recent years.
Please be aware that whilst we welcome invertebrate recorders of all experience levels, our recording days are not taught or guided sessions. (Check out our webinars/workshops here).
