A document providing a simple list of species gaps in World Museum British Diptera collection as of July 2018.

The World Museum entomology department curate a national collection of invertebrate specimens used daily for research and learning, and provide crucial voucher evidence supporting biological records. As the collections become more complete through donations from the recording community, the resource for confirming identifications through comparative study is enhanced.

This list is not published to encourage Dipterists to carry out new fieldwork, indeed many of the species listed will naturally be rare. However, offers of duplicate specimens already in personal collections will be gratefully received.
