All volumes of the LCES journals have been scanned into searchable PDFs. First published in 1881, the journal ran for 134 volumes, often annually until the final publication in 2010.
Typical contents of the more recent volumes include;
Articles – longer contributions relating to summaries of personal recording projects and research, checklists, collections, and reviews of scarce taxa.
Notes – usually detailing particularly remarkable records
Annual reports – split into taxon groups and usually authored by county recorders
Proceedings – summarising recent activities of the society
