This checklist largely supersedes ‘The Lacewing-Flies of Lancashire and Cheshire’ (Alan Brindle, 1972) – Lancashire and Cheshire Fauna Society Committee, 61; pp.25-32, which contains a checklist with localities and abundance notes but no dates. However, Brindle includes Mecoptera (Scorpionflies), which are not part of the Neuroptoidea (the focus of this checklist).
