Lancashire and Cheshire Entomological Society

President: Steve Judd steve.judd@liverpoolmuseums.org.uk
Secretary: Justin Williams northwalesmoths@hotmail.co.uk
Treasurer: Marion Barlow
Founded in 1871, the society continues to offer an annual programme of talks, currently monthly between September and April. In 2019, the society also held two joint field meetings with the Tanyptera Project – Brookhouse Moss and Oakhanger Moss on 22nd May, and Hale Duck Decoy on 3rd July.
Between 1881 to 2010 the society produced a (mostly) annual journal series with other occasional publications covering all aspects of regional entomology, with numerous articles and checklists providing context for current Entomologists in the region. All the journals are available to download as searchable, bookmarked PDFs having been scanned in 2017 (funded by Tanyptera Trust). More information
