Events

We hold free or heavily subsidised invertebrate workshops on identification, recording, curation and field craft to help boost the skills of beginners and experienced entomologists alike. These are complemented with drop-in sessions to facilitate mentoring and networking. We also organise invertebrate recording days across the region to bring together the invertebrate recording community and facilitate improvements to baseline data coverage at selected important sites. See list of past workshops

RECORD Drop-in Session (Chester Zoo)

12th September 2018 | 7:15 pm - 10:00 pm

Free

A monthly drop-in session supported by RECORD, Chester Zoo and the Tanyptera Project.

Date: Wednesday 12th September
Time: 19:15 – 22:00
Venue: Mottershead Suite, Cedar House, Chester Zoo
No need to book or be present for the whole session.

These are informal evenings where recorders can come together and assist each other with queries and mentoring at a convenient time. There will be opportunities to practise using keys and microscopes in a supportive environment or you could use the session to simply meet up, have a cup of tea and discuss recording or spend time on other indoor activities.

You can also request World Museum reference specimens and literature in advance to help check identifications / practise with a particular group. Feel free bring your own material too.

If you are thinking of attending and would like more information, please email RECORD: info@record-lrc.co.uk
